Oh, hello…

Welcome to this little slice of the internet where you can find things from my strange little brain. They take many forms – from artworks, illustrations, poems, and stories, to designs, objets d’art, doodles, sculptures, and even honest mistakes. I like to create things that make people think and smile, hopefully at the same time.

As well as the items on sale in my shop, I am also currently open for commissions. Feel free to get in touch, if that’s the sort of thing that floats your hot air balloon.

More about Jamie

Jamie Rivenberg is a Storyteller.

He produces works as a multimedia artist, illustrator, photographer & wordsmith.

He was born and raised in North Devon, and very quickly set about climbing as many trees as possible. The grazes on his knees were almost permanent throughout his childhood thanks to the low entrances to his secret dens in the woods.

Nowadays, not much has changed. Aside from a mortgage and a family necessitating an actual house rather than a den, life through his eyes is still one big adventure. Much of this adventure is shared through his creative works, from written stories of travels, to explorations of artistic ideas, and in his photographic storytelling. After a few years away, Jamie is based back on the wild Atlantic Coast of North Devon, UK, where he is predominantly windswept, often salty, and frequently wearing stripy clothing. 

Jamie’s love of wandering in nature has led him to many astonishing places around the world and to meet countless interesting people along the way. These interactions and shared experiences are what make us grow as humans, and where the sparks of new ideas are found. The search for more of these sparks continues.

His art career started early, with crayons and cereal boxes, lego bricks, and play-doh. Since 2005, his fine art works have been somewhat more developed, with a particular focus on his unique perspective toward how he views everyday life. Recent new artworks include his series of upbeat Animal Portraits which have been made available in a new edition of postcards, greetings cards and poster prints.

Fine art collections include his whimsical Ponderlings series (2006-2010), the ongoing Line works (2021 onwards), and his 2025 abstract Meditations which explore humanity’s intrinsic connection with nature.

Jamie’s editorial work has seen his writing and photography featured internationally. His documentary style has covered a variety of adventures – from travels in the Himalayas and diving in the Red Sea, to getting lost in food markets and judging scone competitions.

As well as collating a new book of poetry, Jamie is also putting the finishing touches to his first children’s picture book.

He is a very busy boy, and highly caffeinated.
