A Taste of Umbria

Bringing together my two loves, Food & Travel, is always a recipe for happiness.

This press trip to Umbria tied in a glorious meal at Ristorante Le Melograne in Torgiano, a tasting experience at the exquisite vineyards of the Lungarotti Estate where some of the regions finest wines are produced, and a visit to the medieval walled town of Montone for their annual Festa del Bosco – the “Festival of the Forest”.

Italy is known for its phenomenal cuisine that permeates its culture at home and around the world, so to get under the skin of one of the country’s lesser-known food producing regions was a real delight. Meeting producers, foragers, chefs and sommeliers all in their home towns meant that I got to experience the true passion that they all share for the food & drink of Umbria. The finest wines, delicious meals and some of the largest truffles I have ever encountered made this a gastronomic trip to remember.

Food & Drink are a real passion of mine, from home growing and cooking everyday meals to dining out in the UK and overseas.

I have had the pleasure of meeting and photographing growers, makers, bakers and brewers from around the world, and I always enjoy hearing their stories and helping them to tell them through stunning photography.
