Editorial Photography

Having been a columnist and contributor to multiple print and digital publications, I know what it takes to produce engaging and useable photos to accompany articles and stories. Whether I am working alone or collaborating with another writer or journalist, I understand the importance of authenticity and continuity of tone.

As a freelance photojournalist and editorial photographer, I am open to assignments and commissions for a wide range of topics including food & drink, current affairs, lifestyle interests, human stories, and documentary projects.

Food & Drink

In my early 20’s I was a chef, and so my approach to photographing food has always been to uncover the provenence and story behind the dishes served up. As a food & travel columnist I visit producers, restaurants and markets across the continent to bring their flavours to the page.

Travel Editorial Photography

When my love of travel combines with my storytelling photography I am at my best, collaborating with travel magazines and PR teams to create images that transport the reader. More of my Travel work can be seen via the link below.

Editorial Portraits

For features and profile articles that require portrait photography, I am able to provide photoshoots in studio on on location. More portraits can be seen via the link below.

Current Affairs

While the fast pace of the TV news cycle has seen a shift toward superficial coverage of cultural and social issues, there is still a place for in-depth analysis and investigative reporting that benefits greatly from authentic photographs that connect the readers with the subject.

If it’s portaits for features, glossy images for a food & drink magazine, destination photos for a travel piece, or PR photos for your editorial marketing…
